# Dependency Radar — End User License Agreement

Agreement version: 1.1 (free beta).
Effective date: 2026-10-09. For you, this agreement takes effect only upon acceptance for a release supplied under it, as described in section 1.

## 1. Parties and scope

This agreement governs your use of free beta releases of Dependency Radar, plugin identifier `io.dependencyradar`, provided by Nikita Kryukov, operating under the brand if-else.dev (the "Licensor"). "You" means the individual using the Plugin or the organization on whose behalf that individual is authorized to act.

This agreement applies only to the specific releases expressly distributed under this agreement version. The "Plugin" means the executable plugin and resources included in the relevant release.

The Licensor supplies and licenses Dependency Radar. JetBrains, its affiliates and its resellers are not contracting parties to this agreement. This agreement places no duties or liability on them regarding Dependency Radar. Their products and services remain subject to their own agreements.

By installing or using a release supplied with this agreement, you accept its terms. If you do not accept them, do not install or use that release.

## 2. Permission to use the free beta

Subject to these terms, the Licensor grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide, royalty-free license to install and run the supplied beta for personal or organizational development work, including commercial use, and to make reasonable backup copies.

You may install the beta on multiple devices for the permitted purposes. An organization may install the beta on devices used by its employees and contractors for that organization's work. The organization must ensure that those users comply with this agreement. This license does not grant access to the Plugin's proprietary source code or a separate license to use its trademarks. Rights concerning third-party components and activities permitted by applicable law remain as described in sections 3 and 4.

Your license to continue using a beta release acquired under this agreement is perpetual, with no scheduled expiration date, subject to termination under section 9. It does not guarantee a right to receive future releases, updates or services, including continued access to downloads.

## 3. Restrictions and ownership

Except when the Licensor gives written permission or applicable law expressly permits an activity, including a right that cannot be waived or restricted by contract, you must not:

- publish, sell, sublicense or redistribute the Plugin outside the internal use and backups permitted above;
- alter the Plugin, produce derivative versions, or extract its source code through reverse engineering, decompilation or disassembly;
- remove or obscure ownership, attribution or license notices;
- use the Plugin in violation of applicable law or other parties' rights.

The Licensor and the relevant third-party rights holders retain ownership of their respective software and associated intellectual property. Rights that this agreement does not expressly grant remain with their owners.

Third-party licenses permit activities concerning their respective components as described in section 4; they do not authorize redistribution or modification of the proprietary Plugin as a whole. Nothing in this agreement restricts reverse engineering, interoperability activities or security research to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.

You retain all rights, title, and interest in your project files, source code, package metadata, and other materials processed, generated or modified by the Plugin. Use of the Plugin does not transfer ownership of such materials to the Licensor or alter the rights of third parties in them.

## 4. Third-party components and services

Dependency Radar includes software provided under separate open-source licenses. Those licenses, and any required notices, govern the corresponding components and take priority over this agreement for those components. This agreement does not withdraw permissions granted by their licenses. License and copyright notices included in bundled dependency archives apply to the corresponding components; their inclusion does not license the proprietary Plugin as a whole under those terms.

Your IDE, package managers, runtimes, registries and other external tools or services are governed by their respective terms. Permission to use Dependency Radar does not grant permission to use those services or publish packages that you do not have the right to publish.

## 5. Beta releases, updates and future editions

The beta is provided for evaluation and everyday development feedback. It may contain incomplete features and errors. The Licensor may change or discontinue development and may stop providing downloads, maintenance or beta support, subject to obligations imposed by applicable law.

This agreement does not promise updates, technical support, compatibility with future IDE versions, or access to future editions. Later releases or editions may carry different license terms and prices, which must be presented before you acquire or use them. The release already supplied under this agreement does not become payable merely because a later edition is paid.

This agreement applies only to releases expressly distributed under it. A new release may require payment or acceptance of a different agreement before use. Different terms do not automatically or retroactively replace the terms governing a release you already acquired. Changes to pricing, development or download availability do not end your license to that release under section 2.

## 6. Project operations

The Plugin can modify local project files and package metadata, execute external commands, perform Git operations and publish packages to configured public or private registries. These operations may affect repositories, registries and other external services, and some changes may be irreversible.

The Plugin may perform project operations using the permissions, tools, and credentials available in your configured environment. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and authorization to perform operations affecting the relevant projects, repositories, registries, and external services.

Check selected projects, command settings, versions and destinations before running these operations. Keep suitable backups and verify results before relying on them. Uninstalling the Plugin does not automatically reverse changes to local files or external systems.

This section does not eliminate rights or remedies that applicable law makes mandatory.

### 6.1. Data processing and network communications

The Plugin processes local project metadata, including file paths, package names, versions and dependency information. Configured search providers may also inspect other project files. Through configured package managers, Git and other external tools, it may communicate with public or private package registries, repositories and other third-party services. For projects identified as publishable, registry checks may run automatically in the background when the Plugin's project view is initialized or refreshed, including refreshes following relevant file changes. Such communications may disclose package identifiers, version information, related request metadata and, for publication, package contents to the relevant service providers.

Authentication may use credentials from your local tool configuration or environment. For Yarn registry operations, the Plugin may read a registry authentication token from npm configuration and pass it to the package-manager process. Command output and diagnostics may appear in the Plugin's local journal, publication-status view or IDE logs and may contain information supplied by external tools. The relevant service providers' privacy terms govern their processing; this agreement does not grant them additional rights to your data. Further information about local storage, credentials, diagnostics and network communications is provided in the [Privacy Notice](https://if-else.dev/projects/dependency-radar/privacy/). That notice describes data handling and does not itself change your license rights or constitute consent to processing.

## 7. Warranty exclusions

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the Licensor provides the beta "as is", in its current condition, with its existing defects, and without contractual warranties about quality, accuracy, fitness for a particular task, uninterrupted operation or compatibility, including compatibility with future IDE versions. There is no promise that every defect will be corrected or that the Plugin will satisfy your requirements.

Any statutory guarantee that cannot lawfully be excluded remains applicable. Nothing here limits a consumer's mandatory rights.

## 8. Liability

Where applicable law permits, the Licensor excludes liability for losses arising from the use of, or inability to use, the beta, including lost revenue, lost profits, damaged or lost data, interruption of work, and consequential losses. If applicable law does not allow a full exclusion, the Licensor's total liability is limited, to the extent permitted, to the fees you paid for the Plugin through JetBrains Marketplace during the three months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. No fees are charged for this beta.

These exclusions and limits do not apply to liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including any applicable mandatory liability for intentional misconduct, fraud, injury or death.

To the extent permitted by law, JetBrains, its affiliates and its resellers bear no liability under this agreement for the Plugin or compliance with these terms. This does not change any independent statutory obligations or separate agreements that apply to them.

## 9. Ending use

You may end this agreement by ceasing use and deleting your Plugin copies. The Licensor may end your license to use the beta if you materially breach these terms and fail to remedy a remediable breach within 30 days after receiving written notice identifying the breach. A material breach that cannot be remedied may result in immediate termination upon receipt of written notice.

The Licensor may deliver notice using contact information you have provided or another legally effective means. Installation through JetBrains Marketplace does not guarantee that the Licensor receives your contact information. A general website announcement alone does not constitute notice to you under this section. Applicable mandatory rules on delivery of notices remain unaffected.

When the license ends, stop using the Plugin and delete your copies, except for records you must retain by law. Ending this agreement does not grant the Licensor any rights to your projects and does not require you to delete your own project files. Ownership, restrictions on copying, third-party license rights, and the warranty and liability provisions continue to apply to the extent relevant after termination.

## 10. General provisions and contact

This agreement concerns the supplied free beta only. Additional terms require an express agreement between you and the Licensor. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory legal protections take priority over conflicting provisions of this agreement. This agreement does not designate a governing law or an exclusive court.
